Eine sicher ungewöhnliche Wahl ist der Titel, den ich mit einem bestimmten Event assoziiere: es handelt sich hierbei um das »Agnus Dei« von Krzysztof Penderecki aus dem Polnischen Requiem. Bei dem Event handelte es sich um einen internationalen Chorwettbewerb, und ich sang im »tiefen Alt« des teilnehmenden saarländischen und sich bis auf die Knochen blamierenden Kammerchors.
Das Stück ist hart, richtig hart. Auch wenn es Euch vielleicht schwerfällt: hört es trotzdem einmal an, genießt vor allem Passagen wie die bei 4:25 ;) Unser Chor erfüllte damals mehrere Kriterien, die eigentlich von einer Teilnahme hätten abhalten müssen; so war unser Tenor mit vier Leutchen gnadenlos unterbesetzt, dafür hatten wir zuviele Soprane, die sich alle als »Diven-in-der-ersten-Reihe« sahen und sich die Stimmbänder kaputtschrien. Wir hatten das Stück zwar einstudiert und geprobt, aber nicht oft und nicht lange genug.
Der Chor im Video beherrscht das Stück, und trotzdem ist es streckenweise dissonant: und jetzt stellt Euch das vor mit zu wenig Männerstimmen, zu schrillen Sopranen, noch dissonanter — und dann wißt Ihr, daß wir gegen den russischen (!) Berufschor (!!), gegen den wir auf Ansinnen unseres Chorleiters hin ansingen mußten, keine realistische Chance hatten…
